Frequently Asked Questions

Questions? We’ve got answers.

Everything you need to know about your ViCoverage policy — what you purchased, how to view it, and how to file a claim.

About ViCoverage

ViCoverage is the coverage brand of Vertical Insure, Inc. We make protection simple and accessible by building it directly into the platforms you already use — so you can add coverage at the moment you need it, right at checkout.

If you added optional protection while completing a registration, booking, rental, membership, filing, or purchase in another company’s software, your policy is with us.

That charge is almost always an optional protection policy you added at checkout. Did you recently complete a transaction — a registration, booking, reservation, rental, membership, filing, or ticket purchase — and select an add-on such as “Protect Your Registration,” “Refund Protection,” “Add Accident & Injury Insurance,” or similar coverage?

If yes — that’s us. The charge appears under ViCoverage rather than the business you paid, because we’re the insurance provider behind that option. See What did I buy? for more detail, or look up your policy in the Customer Portal.

Through one of our partner platforms — the software an organization or business uses to handle registrations, bookings, reservations, rentals, memberships, filings, or ticketing. Coverage is offered as an optional add-on during checkout, which is why the policy comes from ViCoverage rather than the organization you paid.

We cover a wide range of industries — sports and activities, events, travel and bookings, education, rentals, associations and memberships, legal, construction, and more. Common policies include registration and refund protection, accident & injury insurance, trip and travel protection, ticket refund protection, membership protection, event host liability, event cancellation, exhibitor & vendor liability, builder’s risk, renters insurance, legal bonds, shipping protection, collectibles insurance, and pet insurance.

Yes — for many of our coverages you can get a quote online and purchase in a few minutes. Others are offered only inside a partner platform at the time of registration or booking.

Policies & Coverage

Log into the Customer Portal. Once you’re signed in you’ll see a list of all your policies, both active and expired, with a button next to each one to view the policy or start a claim.

Search your inbox for a welcome email from “ViCoverage” or “Vertical Insure” — it confirms the email address tied to your insurance. Use that same address when you create your portal account. Still stuck? Email support@vicoverage.com.

Coverage availability differs by state, and Vertical Insure, Inc. is a licensed insurance producer in the states where it transacts insurance. Your actual policy documents are the source of truth for what is available and covered where you live.

Your policy documents live in the Customer Portal next to each policy. General site terms are on our Terms & Conditions page. If you need a certificate of insurance or a document you can’t find, email support@vicoverage.com.

Cancellation and refund windows depend on the coverage you purchased and are spelled out in your policy documents. Send your request to support@vicoverage.com or start a live chat from our Contact page and our team will confirm your options.

Claims

Claims start in the Customer Portal:

  • Go to the Customer Portal and sign in — or click Create Account and register with the email address associated with your insurance.
  • Find the policy you’re claiming against in your policy list.
  • Select the option to begin the claims process and follow the prompts.

Detailed, coverage-specific walkthroughs live in our Help Center.

Requirements vary by coverage type, and the claim form will tell you exactly what’s needed. In general it helps to have the email address on your policy, the date and details of what happened, proof of what you paid (your receipt, invoice, or confirmation), and any supporting documentation the situation calls for — a provider’s note, a cancellation notice, or photos, for example.

Timing depends on the coverage and on how quickly required documentation comes in. The fastest path is to submit everything the claim form asks for in one go. You can check status any time in the Customer Portal, and our support team can give you an update on a specific claim.

Yes. Sign into the Customer Portal to see your policies and claim activity. For anything that looks off, email support@vicoverage.com with the name on the policy and we’ll take a look.

With us. The organization or business you bought from handled that transaction — the protection policy itself is ours, so claims are filed through the ViCoverage Customer Portal and handled by our claims team.

Account & Support

Visit customers.vicoverage.com, click Create Account, and fill out the form using the email address associated with your insurance. That’s the only requirement — access is instant. Step-by-step screenshots are on our Customer Portal page.

That usually means the account was created with a different email address than the one on the policy — often a family member’s, or a work address used at checkout. Check your inbox for the ViCoverage welcome email to confirm which address to use. If it still doesn’t appear, email support@vicoverage.com and we’ll locate your policy.

Three ways, whichever suits you:

Protecting your data is part of protecting you. Vertical Insure maintains a SOC 2 examination of its security controls, and details on what we collect and how we use it are in our Privacy Policy.

No questions match that search. Try a different term, or email our support team.
