Unfortunately, most bookings and reservations are non-refundable and cancelling can cost you. Refund Protection gives you peace of mind by reimbursing up to 100% of your non-refundable booking if you can’t travel for a covered reason. It’s a simple, affordable way to protect your trip before you go.

What’s covered:

  • Illness or Injury: You become seriously ill or injured and are advised not to travel by a doctor.
  • Family Emergency: A family member is hospitalized or needs your care unexpectedly.
  • Car Breakdown: Your vehicle breaks down, preventing you from getting to the airport.
  • Job Loss or Relocation: You or your spouse lose a job (after 3+ years) or are relocated 100+ miles for work.
  • Emergency Service Duty: You are called to active duty as military, police, fire personnel, or first responder.
  • Pregnancy/Adoption: A child is placed in your care or you become pregnant after booking and a doctor advises you against traveling.
  • Home Emergency: Your home becomes uninhabitable due to flood, burglary, vandalism, or a natural disaster.

How does Refund Protection work?

Booking and reservation fees for travel are typically non-refundable. Refund Protection provides a reimbursement if you are forced to cancel for a covered reason.

How long am I covered?

Coverage starts the day after the policy is purchased. You are eligible to file a claim if a covered peril occurs on or after the first day of coverage or at any point during the reservation.

What if I only have to cancel part of my reservation?

If the covered reason occurred prior to start of the reservation, you are eligible for a full refund. If the reason for withdrawal occurs during your reservation, you will be provided a pro-rated reimbursement.

How do I file a claim?

After purchase, you can create a free account in our Customer Portal. The portal will display a full. list of your active policies and links to begin the claims process. Click here for instructions on how to create an account.

Can I cancel my policy?

If you are not satisfied with the product for any reason, you have the option to cancel your policy within ten (10) days of the initial purchase date – as long as you have not filed a claim. To cancel your policy, please contact us at support@vicoverage.com.
