Renter's Insurance Policy Terms

By opting into Electronic Delivery, you are providing consent to Great American Insurance Company and Next Wave Insurance Services, LLC (“Us”, “We”, or “Our”) to deliver insurance documents to you electronically or have a third party deliver these documents to you electronically on Our behalf. This Agreement is consent, applying to all types of electronic transactions and records that may be provided or made available during the course of your relationship with us including your policy and related documents, such as schedules and certificates (collectively, “documents”), that are sent to you after the date you opt into Electronic Delivery. This means that We may elect not to physically mail you copies of documents that are provided to you electronically.

In addition, by opting into Electronic Delivery, you are acknowledging and consenting to the following:

Delivery method. Documents delivered electronically to you pursuant to this Consent Form may be delivered via e-mail delivery to the email address associated with your policy.

Electronic delivery of documents. We will deliver documents to you electronically by sending them to the e-mail address(es) you provided to Us. Documents will be considered delivered to you when the e-mailed documents leave Our system, not the date on which you review the electronically delivered documents. You should check your e-mail periodically to ensure timely receipt of any documents delivered electronically to you.

Hardware and software requirements. You must have the following minimum system requirements to receive and retain documents electronically:

• an active e-mail address;
• software that permits you to receive and access Portable Document Format (PDF) files, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader®, available for download at www.acrobat.adobe.com/Reader free of charge;
• a computer or other device that is capable of accessing the internet; and
• hardware or a storage device that can save documents or a printer from which you can print out documents.

If there is a change in the hardware or software requirements that creates a material risk that you will not be able to receive or retain the documents delivered electronically, We will provide you with a statement of the revised hardware and software requirements, as well as the right to withdraw your consent to receive documents electronically.

Delivery and receipt of documents in paper form. If you wish to obtain a paper copy of a document We provided to you electronically, you must submit a written request using Our contact information provided below. You will not be charged for paper copies of a document.

Note that even if you consent to receive documents electronically, We may choose, at Our sole discretion, to send paper copies of documents to you, even though the documents were sent or could have been sent electronically to you. If We choose to mail paper copies, We will use the most current mailing address in Our files. We recommend you keep Us informed of any changes to your mailing address.

Right to withdraw consent and procedures for withdrawal. You may withdraw your consent to receive documents electronically, at any time and without charge, by submitting a written request to Us, using the contact information provided below. Any documents delivered thereafter will be provided to you at the mailing address on file with Us. Withdrawal of your consent will not affect the legal effectiveness, validity, and/or enforceability of documents provided or made available to you electronically prior to the receipt and implementation of your withdrawal request. Withdrawal of consent will be effective within 30 days after We have received your withdrawal request. Thereafter, We will deliver paper copies of documents to you at the most current address in Our files.

Prompt notification of changes. You must notify Us promptly of any changes to your e-mail address, or other information, using Our contact information provided below. You agree to hold Us harmless in connection with your failure to provide current and valid contact information.

By opting into Electronic Delivery, you acknowledge that your hardware and software systems meet the requirements set forth herein, and confirm that: (i) you have read and understood this Electronic Delivery Disclosure and Consent in its entirety, (ii) you are authorized to consent to its terms, (iii) you consent to its terms, including the electronic delivery of documents by Us, (iv) opting in constitutes an electronic signature that will have the same legal effect, validity, or enforceability as a signature made in nonelectronic form, and (v) you have retained a copy of this Consent Form for your records.

By electing to allow for your policy documents, notices and communications to be sent to the electronic mail address you provide, you should be advised that this election operates as your consent for all notices to be sent electronically, including notice of nonrenewal and cancellation. Therefore, you should be diligent in updating your electronic mail address on file with Us in the event that your electronic mail address changes.

We collect personal information when you apply for insurance, give us your contact information, pay premiums, file a claim, tell us who receives the money, or visit our website or email us. We also collect it from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

To protect it from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law, including computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. We also limit access to those who need it to do their jobs.

Federal laws give you the right to limit only:

• Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes — information about your creditworthiness
• Affiliates from using your information to market to you
• Sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you.

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

We do not disclose your health information with third parties unless authorized by you or as allowed or required by law. We may disclose your information, as permitted by law, to underwrite or administer your policy, claim or account, and to conduct research so long as no individual data may be identified in the research study report.

You may review, correct and delete information we collect about you. Send a signed, written request to General Counsel at Great American Insurance Company, 301 East Fourth Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202-4269, or email clegal@gaig.com. Include your full name, address, telephone number, and policy number. We may request other information to validate your identity.

If you believe any of your information is incomplete or incorrect, write to us and explain what needs correcting. If we agree, we will correct our records; if we do not, you may file a written statement of dispute with us.
