Frequently Asked Questions

What is protected under Room Block Protection?

Covered reasons include weather-related cancellations. Please see your policy for a detailed list of perils.

How does Room Block Protection work?

This is not consumer-facing coverage, nor does it protect the hotel’s exposure. It is designed to protect the revenue associated with the mark-up on hotel rooms. The policy is activated when a consumer pays the deposit for their room reservation. For questions, please reach out to support@vicoverage.com

3. Connect ViCoverage at support@vicoverage.com with the housing company to create a master reservation policy list to ensure every room is covered and ensure peace of mind for your hotel rebates.

Getting started: for Housing Companies

1. Review coverage rates and availability to ensure room blocks are eligible for protection.

2. Enable coverage by connecting with ViCoverage at support@vicoverage.com at least 7 days prior to the start of each event to set up a master policy list and ensure all rooms are covered.

3. Enjoy peace of mind knowing room blocks are covered and your housing revenue is secure.

Where can I find my policy details and information?

Coverage begins when the first guest books a reservation through your reserved room block. Policies are on a per-reservation basis and only account for the blocked rooms. Please see the master reservation list for policy per-room reservation. For more assistance, please reach out to support@vicoverage.com.
